From July 20 to 25, the 18th China University Taekwondo Championship (Finals), hosted by the China University Sports Association, was held in Xianning, Hubei.GXU’sgraduate student from theCollegeof Electrical Engineering, Yu Xiaotang, won the championship in the Women's Individual Poomsae Taebaek category and the Women's Individual Poomsae Koryo category in Division A. Additionally, Wang Ruining, a graduate student from theCollegeof Physical Education, won the championship in the Women's Individual Poomsae Keumgang category in Division A and secured the runner-up position in the Women's Individual Poomsae Taeguk 8 category.
It is reported that the finals featured 792 athletes from 152 universities nationwide. Our university's Taekwondo team successfully advanced to the national finals after competing in the Southern and Northern regional qualifiers. Under the leadership of team leader Liu Xiaohong and coach Hu Yuanyuan, the team achieved an outstanding performance, winning three golds and one silver.
